Description
Mahakala omnogovae was a basal dromaeosaurid from the Mongolian scrub in the Campanian stage of the upper Cretaceous, approximately 75 million years ago. Being only about 70 cm long it likely fed on small prey like multituberculates, squamates, etc. The animal is known from a partial skeleton including skull bones, vertebrae, limb bones, and portions of the pelvis and shoulder girdle, which was found in the Djadokhta Formation of Ömnögov, Mongolia
